About Me

The short version:

Shamelessly Sassy is a website owned/written by Amanda H. (Pretend the last name is Hugginkiss if anonymity frightens you, and closure is necessary.) As a woman, wife, mother, business owner, and student, most all stations and walks of life are addressed in a humorous and often satirical manner. When you’re this busy, laughter is the only way. Shamelessly Sassy doesn’t promise to give you a piñata full of illegal candies or deliver exotic chocolates to you in your time of need, but the writing is honest, hilarious, and well worth the read (in the noticeably humble opinion of the writer.)

The long version:

Hi! I’m Amanda. I am a reader, listener, vegetarian, spectator, and lover of life.My husband is possibly the funniest human being on this planet. My daughter is on the verge of three and simply fantastic. Honestly, I come here to talk about myself and my family. As far as goals go, I’m just trying to make it through the day without spilling anything on my shirt. I feel as if that possibly merits your attention, because it’s a fantastic endeavor. If you would like to observe this journey, your company is more than welcomed. I’d like it.

I’m married to a wonderful guy and we have a three year old little girl. Aside from being a mother and wife, I’m a full-time college student and my husband and I own a few businesses.

Generally,I stay really busy. At some point, in the grand scheme of chaos that is my life, I decided I would start a blog. I’m an avid blog reader. I’m addicted to them. I love to read, cook, bake, and do anything else that will keep me busy. When I actually have free time, my subconscious decides to torture me by taking on even more activities for the free time I have actually attained.

I think everyone has some sort of reason for blogging. Mine is just that I feel like I express things more openly when writing. I’m not a very vocally expressive person. I think I do myself justice by writing out what I feel. It seems to mesh and become more realistic that way. While I don’t mind to rant aloud about random things, I very seldom discuss my true feelings about sensitive issues. I can write about them for hours though.

I’ve always kept writing journals. Probably, for as long as I can remember. I remember being a child and writing down my thoughts on the large triple lined learning paper you were given to practice handwriting. Yet, this is really my first public journal that I will let basically anyone read. Sometimes things are serious, but that’s generally not the case. More often than not, the things discussed here are humorous tidbits. Regardless, owning this site is like having my own little piece of the world.

It’s very new to me, and I’m doing the best I can. :)
