My name is Amandah my mom wanted to make my name different so she added a `H` which was cool until classmates saw it and had some jokes. They would say “Its A-man-Duh! Haha get it” That would ANNOY me but i would try to ignore it. Anyway, my grandma would always call me manderz, or panda i didnt mind panda but manderz? Ugh. The rest of my family calls me Mandah, Mandi, i like spelling it as Mandee =), and Mandah Pandah.But my teachers often misspell my name as Amandha =(

haha.my names amanda too and only my close friends call me mandy, & even then i still feel weird. a girl once called me manders, i kinda liked it tho. i also get mandita and mandapanda. lol

I can’t figure out why a lot of people can’t discern the difference between “Jan” and “Jane”. I get called Jan about 80% of the time, even after I tell them my name is “Jane”. I do not like Jan. But I could be called worse, I guess

Without giving away my real name (although you probably know it), I have a name that is usually a nickname. So people always assume (like the ass that they are) that my name couldn't be JUST my name, it of course has to be attached to a longer name. So if you were just Mandy and people started calling you Amanda... but that's not your name. So if you call me [Amanda], it really pisses me off. Great post! I grew up as Missy, but when I went off to college I started going by Melissa because it sounded more grown up. I still have that name split between work and home life. When I was younger, I couldn’t stand being called Jenn. My brothers would call me that just to irritate me. I had a friend in jr high who started calling me Jenn and I would always answer “Niffer”, hoping to encourage him to call me Jennifer. Well, the Niffer stuck, and all thru high school, I was called Niffer. Kinda funny now. I have embrased Jenn now though.
