Crazy 8’s

  • November 9th, 2007 9:42 pm

I’ll admit that I am slacking. I was tagged by Sandy at momisodes a few days ago. I’m just getting around to completing this. But I’m excited because I secretly love memes.

8 Things I’m Passionate About

1) Allie, my daughter. She is the wonderful in every possible way. I love her shining personality and her bountiful red curls. I love the precious way she kisses me. I love that she’s a good mommy to her baby dolls. It makes me feel like I’ve set a good example.

2) Adam, my husband, who is forever making me laugh. He is wonderful to be around. He’s giving, understanding, and very clever.

3) My mother, I have a wonderful mother. She’s the best . She worked very hard and sacrificed a lot of things to ensure that my brother and I were her top priority. She’s just amazing.

4)Literature (I’m including formula fiction in this also)- I love to read. Reading is very therapeutic for me. I can’t get enough of it. I am always reading something.

5) Science- I just love every aspect of it. I am an A-1 science geek. I’m on it like white on rice.

6) Writing- I love writing here. I also like writing short stories and such. I’m always up for menacing poetry, also.

7) Friends- I enjoy the close friends that I have. When I have a close friend, they are a close friend forever, because I don’t really get close to many people. While I’m an extrovert on this blog, in my day-to-day life I’m not.

8. Saving People- I know that is a very broad category. But it’s important to me. Saving lives, saving people from themselves, etc. I’m a saver.

8 Things I Want To Do Before I Die:

1) Complete a novel. It doesn’t have to be published. Just completed.

2)Go to Italy.

3) Practice Medicine in a country that desperately needs it. Even if it’s just for a few weeks…

4) See the Great Wall of China, the ports of Hong Kong, and all landmarks in Italy, Paris, and Egypt. (I’m just ditto-ing this, because it’s one of mine also!)

5) Start a charity. I have one in mind I’ve wanted to start for years, but I have yet to truly work on it, just research it.

6) Feel 100% comfortable in a group of people.

7) Go as green as possible.

8. Live. I just want to live. I’m very passionate about life.

8 Things I Say Often:

1)Seriously?!?

2) I’m hungry.

3) Sure

4) Please

5) Thank You

6) Why?

7) OH. MY. GOODNESS

8. Great, just great!

8 Books I’ve read recently:

1) Book of the Dead by Patricia Cornwell

2) Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain (I can never get enough of this book.)

3)Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See by Eric Carle (Allie loves this book)

4) Big Stone Gap by Adriana Trigiani

5) Home to Big Stone Gap by Adriana Trigiani

6) Big Cherry Holler by Adriana Trigiani (I know..I know..but this series is wonderful!)

7) My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult (If you love to read, and you have not read her..you just have to..All of her books are so wonderful.)

8. She Flew the Coop by Michael Lee West

8 Songs I Could Listen To Over And Over:

1) “Comfortable” - John Mayer

2) “I Wanna Be There” Blessid Union of Souls

3) “Better Man” - James Morrison

4) “Dance with My Father Again”- Luther Vandross

5) “Let’s Get It On”-Marvin Gaye (I almost ashamed. but i LOVE this song.)

6) “At Last” - Ella Fitzgerald

7) “I Will Always Love You” - I prefer the Whitney Houston version over Dolly’s version

8.)” Buy You A Drank”- T-Pain (I KNOW, I KNOW! kick me in the face…but I love t-pain. I can’t help it.)

8 Things That Attract Me To My Best Friends:

1) They understand my sarcasm, and realize that I’m not being serious.

2) They know how to kick back and have fun.

3) Honesty- Friends not afraid to tell me I’m a bitch are the ones I keep around. (DITTO!)

4) Easy going- Friends who I’m a bitch to and still keep me around. (DITTO!)

5) They allow me to laugh at their embarrassing moments.

6) They embrace my embarrassing moments.

7)They’re there if I need them.

8. They allow me point and laugh at them at their expense. (DITTO!)

Amanda, you rocked the Meme! Thanks so much for doing the cockamamie crazy 8’s. I blame Bill, and the one who tagged him, and so on :)
Thanks so much for quoting me. I wish I had your passion for reading. I have no idea how you juggle it A-L-L, and read.

Oh and, “Comfortable” - John Mayer”….*drool*. I had that on repeat for so long, I think my CD is bent.

    Happy weekend!

No one should ever be ashamed of liking “Let’s Get it On.” One of the bestest songs, EVER.

Though, it is kind of sick how on last season’s American Idol, one of the contestants [who ruined the song] dedicated the song to his dad…
