Low Carbing

  • January 18th, 2010 12:10 am

Things to discuss:

So I’m starting p90x tomorrow as well as going low carb.  Now might be a great time to discuss my love for carbs.  They are so pretty and sparkly to me.  Why does bread have to taste so good?  Why can’t I find a low carb breakfast that I love? Why do people pay for and produce low budget commercials that only make their businesses look sketchy? Why am I allergic to all of the things I love? Questions: I haz ‘em.

Allie has only had school twice since her Christmas break started nearly a month ago.  Just twice. I love her, but I am also nearly crazy.  I was pretty pumped when I figured out she would be going back tomorrow and then I realized tomorrow is MLK day and there is no school.

I turn 25 in a few weeks.  I’d like to do something fun for the big quarter century, but nothing comes to mind and I’m really not excited about my birthday like I usually am.  On a normal basis, I am ecstatic about my birthday for months up until it arrives.  This year, well, this year I’m just mehhh about it. Birthday Schmerfday.

Allie feel asleep on the couch tonight and has been periodically sitting up and yelling things like, “I WAS JUST MAKING CHILI!”  Following the yells, she just lays back down.  oh, to be 4.

Interested to see what you think of p90x. I did it for a few weeks but Tony Horton drove me crazy and it wasn’t the best workout for me. That being said, it will kick your ass into shape!

It’s obvious we were meant to be besties. We share the same birthday month, we’re the same age AND we both love our birthday… okay well maybe everyone loves their birthday so that’s not such a coincidence but hey whatever.

Anywho if your birthday turns out anything like mine your husband will have swine flu(and still hasn’t bought me a present or a card, Mother Effer) and your kid will have bronchitis thus your birthday will fucking suck… I’ve actually rescheduled mine in April ’cause that’s how I roll!

Good luck on the low carbs thing, me I love doughnuts too much for that jazz!

A couple of my friends have done the P90X thing, I’m curious how it works! My fiance turns 25 in March, he doesn’t feel much like celebrating either! I hope your spirit gets lifted and you have a great birthday!

I just gave up carbs a week or so ago. I’m going hardcore for a week or two, because I wasnt results NOW. I have more access to exercise stuff than I did the last time I did this, so I’m hoping to tweak that part later. For now, MELT AWAY THIGHS! MELT AWAY!!!

I’m lucky to like eggs. Since I’m giving up most foods for the time being, I’m living on eggs, cheese, meat, and pork rinds. Yeah, gross. But, it’s filling and the weight is just falling off! I’m in the ketosis phase right now. They say that ketosis causes bad breath. But, anyone who lives on eggs, cheese, meat and pork rinds is GOING to have ass-breath, right? After a week or so of HELL, you don’t miss food. But, I have to be careful, because I’ve learned that SOURDOUGH BREAD IS MY GATEWAY DRUG. One slice and you’ll find me in a back alley somewhere offering all sort of ‘favors’ for anything in bread form.

I can’t wait to read about how the P90X thing goes. I’m always up for something new…but mostly that ‘magic pill’ that lets me change nothing and be skinny.

I don’t know if I’ll ever have the willpower to give up carbs, but I learned the other day that they can affect mood which made me think that at some point I may have to adjust the intake. Good luck!

Low carb diets are really hard! Tried doing it for a month and then was like screw this….who am I kidding? I am obsessed with anything that is carb plus sugar….hope that your attempt goes over better than mine!

Bad breath or halitosis can be easily elimated by using mouthwash with hexetidine or triclosan.-`.
