I’m not married to the most romantic guy on the block. That’s fine with me. I always liked that Adam wasn’t overly romantic. I mean, he will do something every once in a while that is nice, but still. In the past, overly cheesy romantic guys always seemed to me to either be unauthentic or slightly disturbed. So I was and am more than happy with Adam’s state as far as the romantics are concerned.
However, I always wondered if he had been more romantic in his past, if he was going downhill on the romance scale or slowly climbing up the scale. Today, while cleaning out the storage building, I found a note that he had apparently passed a girl when he was in Junior High. I found my answer.
This is what it said,
Dear *@#$*,
Hey, I hope you let me touch your titties* today on the school bus.

PS. Cook me a Steak.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure it is safe to say that he has only gone up from there. What a Casanova.
*The use of the word titties makes me physically ill.

That’s awesome on so many levels. I can see why you married him. In all seriousness, I am married to a not-so-romantic man, too, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am not all about the cheese. Although, a card every now and then would be okay…

Maybe I’m weird, but I think if my hubby were to write something like that I’d probably make him his steak topless ‘cuz thats kind of hot. Or not. My god. This reads exactly like something my husband would write to me NOW, only more eloquent (if you can believe that.)
The Walrus isn’t one for the romance either. For birthdays and holidays I usually get a card signed with his first and last names (and a middle initial if he makes the effort!) and something that he hasn’t bothered to take the pricetag off of.
There’s a fine line between Dippy and Douchey – for both the ladies and teh mens.
