Bloggy Swap:Things I Like

I love getting things in the mail. Well, anything that isn’t a bill. Even if it is just a magazine or sales paper, I am thrilled in the most childlike manner that you can possibly imagine. That is me if I get mail or a package. This secret little thrill of getting mail is why I signed up for a bloggy swap. I was given someone to mail a package to, and someone was given my name to send a package to, and none of use know who the other is mailing the packages to. It is quite anonymous. So I have no idea who is mailing to me, and the person I am mailing to has no idea I am mailing to them.
The thing is: I kind of suck at the bloggy package swap thing. Mostly because I was supposed to make a list of things I liked for the swap. But I kept putting it off, then totally forgot, and then I kept putting it off again. Honestly, it’s because I am easily pleased, love to be surprised, and would be happy with just an empty box so long as it didn’t have a bill in it for something. But I need to make this list for the swap. So in no particular order are things and activities that I enjoy.
- I love gag gifts. LOVE THEM
- I love to read. I spend lots of time reading. I will read almost anything with the exception of crappy romance novels. I hate crappy romance novels. I honestly don’t even know how people stomach those things.
- I love things that smell good. If it smells good, I am all over it. candles, lotions, whatever. As long as it doesn’t smell like ass, I love it. I like the smell of fruits, cottons, pumpkins, spices, etc.
- I like nail polish. I love to paint my nails and toenails, and I’m funky about letting other people do it. So I do all of my own manicures and pedicures.
- I love pervertish funny gifts. Like penis shaped breathmints. Those things make my day.
- Margaritas
- Bloody Mary’s
- Miller Lite
- Calendars
- Any sort of organizational tool.
- POST-ITS! I love post its. I mean, really, really love them. It’s sort of creepy. There are post its all over my house of things I need to do. Post its all over the wall by my computer of things I intend to write about.
- I love movies of the comedy genre. LOVE THEM. I also have a strong penchant for stoner comedy even though I’m totally not a stoner. (It is strange that I do have to frequently clarify that.)
- I also love girly movies or deep movies with layers.
- I hate scurry movies.
- I like funny stuff. I know that is broad, but I do. I’m easily pleased.
- Jane Austen is one of my favorite authors. I have a several favorites, but she is one of the favorite authors I have that I don’t already own all of her books (or any of them). I used to have some, but they are missing in action. You should read Jane Austen, you really should.
- I love me some profanity. I truly do.
- Chocolate. I could devote at least 100 paragraphs to it. But I will spare you.
- I love Maxim Magazine. LOVE IT. I know it is for boys, but it is so funny and really my type of humor. (Once again, I am not a stoner.)
- I like the color black a lot. and I like pink. and blue. The only color I really don’t like is orange, but I can deal with it.
- I like homemade, funky, eclectic type things.
- I love wall art of the funky, eclectic type.
- I love to travel whenever I can.
- I like purses, change purses, tote bags, and even ziploc bags. haha.
- Psychology
- Biology
- I like math.
- I like deep jokes. The sort of jokes that only a handful of people get, and when the handful of people get them it is awesome.
- Elton John (Shut up.)
- Michael Jackson (Seriously, just hush. I can’t help it.)
- I also love Muse.
- Weeds (the show). Once again, am not a stoner.
- Wine. Any sort, I am still learning.
- Cheese. I need an intervention for my love of cheese.
- I LOVE mixed CD’s. I really do. Any CD with a ton of various songs, I just love. Especially if I haven’t heard some of them before. I spend a lot of time in my car driving myself to school or Allie to school, and I love to listen to music.
- I really like pens and pencils. I know that is weird, but I do.
- I like funny cups, glasses or plates. I always like it when I peek in someone’s cabinet and they have a hilarious glass in there that says something funny.
- I like things that I don’t pick out myself.
- I love sunglasses.
- I probably like you, but I wouldn’t recommend mailing yourself to me. I’m nearly positive that it is illegal.

I have a really great “mommy mix cd” with 20 parenting songs. Stuff like “butterfly kisses” and “One Hot Mama”. I would totally send you a package even if I wasn’t getting one in return. Just e-mail me if you want it!

It’s my first visit to your site. Thought I’d say hey! And, I am a fellow cheese lover myself. But… I fear if I said I needed an intervention for my cheese addiction that may actually mean I wouldn’t get to eat as much, so I am going to steer clear of intervention-type thoughts. Honestly, where would I be without cheese? Skinnier, that’s for sure. But, any diet that reduces cheese intake is seriously not one for me. I guess no dieting for me then, right?

Great list! I am also addicted to cheese. I have to have some, at least a bite, every day. Also, office supplies. I LOVE them. I can’t get enough of pens, pads, binder clips, urhhhhh. *saliva pouring out of my mouth* The blog swap sounds like fun.
