Moving Day & Introduce Yourself (partial delurk)

  • March 25th, 2008 11:53 am

We start the moving process today. So in a few hours, I will be without internet. My internet should be back within a few days. However, my cable company is quite sketchy, and that isn’t a guarantee. Anyhow, I just wanted to post this to let all know that if I go without posting for a few days, I haven’t kicked the bucket or met my maker or anything like that. I’m just moving. :)

Not that you spend extensive amounts of time worrying about me or anything. But I’m just saying.

Anyway, I picked up some new readers recently, and well, I think it’d be nice if you introduced yourselves and tell me a little about you. Old readers too. In case you have nothing to say, here are some questions I thought up, you can answer in the comments. And when I regain internet, I’ll answer them myself.

1.) If you could skip any day of the week, which would it be?

2.) What is your favorite book?

3.) If you had lived back in the day when people though the Earth was flat, would you have been open to the new idea that Earth is actually round, or stayed with the old idea of flatness?

4.) Can you roller skate?

5.) Are you right or left handed?

6.) What song do you most despise?

7.) What is the most embarrassing CD you own?

8.) What one word can you NEVER manage to spell correctly without the assistance of spell check?

8b.) What was the first cassette tape you ever purchased? (Not CD, cassette.)

9.) What issue is currently bothering you the most?

10.) Why do you visit Shamelessly Sassy? (Read: fishing for compliments to read after carrying massive boxes.)

11.) What is your greatest accomplishment?

12.) Brag about yourself here. Why are you so awesome? (because you are, for sure. Particularly if you had good answers for (10).) What do you do best? What area are you the go-to person for?

It would be awesome if some of you answered these questions. I’m really excited to see the results. :)

(Just in case anyone is internet challenged, the easiest way to go about doing this would be to copy and paste the questions into the comment section, and then answer below each one.)

What a great idea! We’ll miss you while you’re unconnected.

1.) Wednesday. It’s just kind of blah, and I’m usually burned out from having assumed during the first half of the week that I can survive on 4 hours of sleep a night.

2.) Hamlet or the Fountainhead. I think Objectivism is a crock, but it’s a really good book.

3.) I would like to imagine that I’d be open to the round thing, but in reality, probably not. *sigh*

4.) As of 20 years ago, yes. Is it like riding a bike, I wonder …

    5.) Right handed

    6.) Pachelbel’s Canon. It’s not a canon, darnit!

7.) Take That’s Greatest Hits. (I can’t believe you got me to admit that. They were big in Asia and Europe.)

8.) referral (Yep. Used spell check.)

8b.) Oooh … something by Toni Braxton. I lived in Bangladesh, and CDs didn’t make it there until I after I left when I was 18.

9.) Intolerance, particularly of the racial/ethnic/cultural and religious variety.

10.) Because you make me think. Because I feel like I’m not alone in being constantly amused and bemused by my kids and life. Because I feel like I’m making a new friend.

11.) Keeping my family together through two Iraq deployments.

12.) I’m pretty good at balancing things, like my kids, my husband, my job and my friends. At work, I’m the make-sure-my-team-finishes-everything-we-start person, and I’m (mostly) good at nagging nicely.

2.) What is your favorite book? Anything by Robert Parker

3.) If you had lived back in the day when people though the Earth was flat, would you have been open to the new idea that Earth is actually round, or stayed with the old idea of flatness?
    I’m open to new ideas

5.) Are you right or left handed? right

6.) What song do you most despise? Electric slide

7.) What is the most embarrassing CD you own?
Embarrassing CD? What are you talking about- I am waaayyyy too cool to own an embarrassing CD. My hubby however owns several girly ones.
8.) What one word can you NEVER manage to spell correctly without the assistance of spell check? I’m actually a pretty good speller.

8b.) What was the first cassette tape you ever purchased? (Not CD, cassette.) Not sure- super bad memory but probably 50’s and 60’s even though I was born WAY after that.

9.) What issue is currently bothering you the most? racism

10.) Why do you visit Shamelessly Sassy? (Read: fishing for compliments to read after carrying massive boxes.)I think you’re funny.

11.) What is your greatest accomplishment?
    I’m a good mom.

12.) Brag about yourself here. Why are you so awesome? (because you are, for sure. Particularly if you had good answers for (10).) What do you do best? What area are you the go-to person for? I make a mean cheesecake, baklava, oh- I make a lot of good food. I am a good artist and proud of my photography. I am a great mother and wife (also sister and aunt). I think my kids will grow up with terrific childhood memories.

8.) What one word can you NEVER manage to spell correctly without the assistance of spell check? TuScon

Let me first say that I have been reading for only a few short months, but believe me this website has changed me. You were my first introduction to a real person blog (ie–talking about your real life) and its made me want to make my own. Which is why I haven’t been commenting; because I haven’t finished my blog set up and don’t think its ready yet (can you say perfectionist???). I’ve never been a computer person, but I’m slowly learning. Blah blah blah. Sorry for the long intro…. Ok here goes…..

1.) If you could skip any day of the week, which would it be?

Any day my husband works the moment he wakes up til the moment he goes to bed. They aren’t often, but they suck.

2.) What is your favorite book?

Not sure I have a favorite. I love too many. But one that will always stick with me is “A Child Called ‘It’ “. I bawled the whole way thru.

3.) If you had lived back in the day when people though the Earth was flat, would you have been open to the new idea that Earth is actually round, or stayed with the old idea of flatness?

I would have thought the first guy was crazy and would have demanded more proof. Then I would have thought “well where’s the proof that the world is flat?”. And then gotten mad that I had been lied to all those years. I have issues apparently! LOL.

    4.) Can you roller skate?

    Barely. Stopping?? Not so much.

5.) Are you right or left handed?

Right. But I can Sign easily on both hands.

6.) What song do you most despise?

Anything with lyrics “slap my bitch up” or “she’s my whore” or anything like it.

7.) What is the most embarrassing CD you own?

I kid you not I have the music to “the Party”. Anybody remember them? Think Disney-like pop group. Total cheese.

8.) What one word can you NEVER manage to spell correctly without the assistance of spell check?

embarrass and haven’t (I always leave out the “e”).

8b.) What was the first cassette tape you ever purchased? (Not CD, cassette.)

Paula Abdul-Forever Your Girl. And I choreographed a dances to it and made my cousin dance with me. There are videos to prove my complete dorkiness.

9.) What issue is currently bothering you the most?

Housesitters who are neglectful to the point where my cat had to have surgery and almost died in her care. My kitty just had surgery last night. I’m a wreck.

10.) Why do you visit Shamelessly Sassy? (Read: fishing for compliments to read after carrying massive boxes.)

First, read my intro. Secondly, seriously you have the funniest blog hands down. I talk to my husband about you like we are actual friends. You are my blogging hero. Wow…. I need help.

11.) What is your greatest accomplishment?

Since I don’t have kids yet, can’t say that. Its a toss up between achieving my black belt and having the strength and conviction to pursue my singing, which is how I met my husband. :-)

12.) Brag about yourself here. Why are you so awesome? (because you are, for sure. Particularly if you had good answers for (10).) What do you do best? What area are you the go-to person for?

This one is funny. Well I guess my close friends think that I am awesome because I can say whatever is on my mind and totally be outrageous in a law abiding way. But on a serious side, I think that I’m the friend that is the mother and the shoulder to cry on, and the one with solid advice.

Good luck with the moving. I have friends who just had triplets in December (!!!) and are moving this coming weekend. Dear Lord! Hopefully that helps…..

11.) What is your greatest accomplishment? Knowing every word to the movie Pretty Woman. Oh , and maybe my kids. LOL

What do you do best? Sleep.

What area are you the go-to person for? Diaper changes, feedings, laundry, dishes, dusting, car pooling, toy buyer, etc. Crap I sure do a lot huh?

1.) If you could skip any day of the week, which would it be?
Lately, it’s been Saturday, of all days. My whole day is sucked up into “visiting” and it’s just not fun anymore.

2.) What is your favorite book?
I can only have one? Waah! I’ll give you my “deserted-island” can’t live withouts instead: Man’s Eternal Quest (Paramahansa Yogananda), A Course In Miracles, the Bible, and the entire Outlander Series (with mysterious beach-landings of any new books in the series) (Diana Gabaldon). Man, did I ever cheat on that question!

3.) If you had lived back in the day when people though the Earth was flat, would you have been open to the new idea that Earth is actually round, or stayed with the old idea of flatness?
If you could prove to me that no one fell off, I would go with the new idea.

    4.) Can you roller skate?
I always blame growing up on a dirt road, but it was really busting my chin wide open while practicing one day that would make this answer a big N-O.

5.) Are you right or left handed?
Left, but can do many functions ambidextrously.

6.) What song do you most despise?
    Roxanne, by Sting

7.) What is the most embarrassing CD you own?
Oh hell I don’t know. Probably Milli Vanilli

8.) What one word can you NEVER manage to spell correctly without the assistance of spell check?
I have pretty fantastic spelling skills, so I can’t cop to one right now.

8b.) What was the first cassette tape you ever purchased? (Not CD, cassette.)
I have no idea. That was too long ago, lol.

9.) What issue is currently bothering you the most?
The never-ending bamboozling of the people by less than sharp leaders of a certain country who insist that really, no, if I shut my eyes, you can’t see me!

10.) Why do you visit Shamelessly Sassy?
I’m a fairly new reader, so I have been delighted by the posts I have read thus far (remodeled anus, anyone?). You have a great sense of humor and you are an insightful writer, two must-haves in any blog I spend time reading.

11.) What is your greatest accomplishment?
WIP. I’ll reserve the answer for later.

12.) Brag about yourself here. I write. I have a great sense of humor. If you need help finding a resource, I am your go-to-girl. I’m friendly (unless you surprise me). I am compassionate and have a big heart, so don’t go squashing it, k?

    Good luck on your move!

    Alright, if you insist:

1.) Thursday. I have six straight hours of classes Tuesday and Thursday, and by Thursday I am Burned Out. So yeah, let’s get rid of that.

2.) Eek! I can’t answer this one. I love to read, and there are way too many good books out there.

3.) I probably would’ve stuck with the idea of flatness. I mean, the earth LOOKS flat from where I am. Why would I accept the ideas of some crazy guy?

4.) Define “can.” I mean, I can kind of sort of roll, but not gracefully and I’m still working on that stopping thing.

    5.) Right.

6.) At the moment, that Umbrella song by Rhianna. I don’t know why, but it really gets under my skin. Unfortunately, it’s also really catchy, so it gets stuck in my head.

7.) I think I may have an *NSYNC CD around here somewhere from back when they were popular.

8.) Vacuum. Thank goodness Firefox has spellcheck.

    8b.) I honestly don’t remember.

9.) Stress about finding a summer internship

10.) Shamelessly Sassy is endlessly entertaining and well written!

11.) Yikes- I’m 21, do I have to have one yet?

(10).) Organizing events and stuff. I’m good at making sure stuff gets done.

Does “ignorant people” count as an issue?

10.) Why do you visit Shamelessly Sassy? (Read: fishing for compliments to read after carrying massive boxes.)

Sure, I suppose I could find it in myself to talk about myself, since you twisted my arm :)

1.) If you could skip any day of the week, which would it be?

Honestly, 8AM on Monday through 5PM on Friday. That’s sad. I know.

2.) What is your favorite book?

Where the Heart Is by Billie Letts (better than the movie; so much heart and great characters)

3.) If you had lived back in the day when people though the Earth was flat, would you have been open to the new idea that Earth is actually round, or stayed with the old idea of flatness?

I embrace new things, at least long enough to give them a good look see in case the new way of thinking is the right way of thinking. Sometimes it is.

    4.) Can you roller skate?

I haven’t tried since about junior high, but I was very good at “couples skate”

5.) Are you right or left handed?

    Right

6.) What song do you most despise?

I don’t even know the names, but lots of hip hop. Except the one about reaching back like a pimp to slap the ho because that’s almost funny the way it’s worded (no, not funny in real life, I know, I know).

7.) What is the most embarrassing CD you own?

I’m not even sure I own CDs anymore… Peter Paul & Mary 10 Years Together (except that I’m not actually embarrassed)

8.) What one word can you NEVER manage to spell correctly without the assistance of spell check?

Proceed (my brain thinks it’s procede…)

8b.) What was the first cassette tape you ever purchased? (Not CD, cassette.)

Wow. No idea. Last album was Anthrax State of Euphoria, though ;)

9.) What issue is currently bothering you the most?

I should be wound up about a lot of stuff, but we’ve decided not to decide anything for a few months, so I’m back to wondering what flavor to make my latte. Tough decisions.

10.) Why do you visit Shamelessly Sassy? (Read: fishing for compliments to read after carrying massive boxes.)

Ever since your neighbor sharted on your couch, I have been in love with you. You always crack me up.

11.) What is your greatest accomplishment?

Some days not slapping anyone. Other days not smoking (9 months now). Traveling to Hong Kong alone years ago. Lots of random stuff. None exactly “great,” but they are mine.

12.) Brag about yourself here. Why are you so awesome? (because you are, for sure. Particularly if you had good answers for (10).) What do you do best? What area are you the go-to person for?

Me? Totally awesome every way. I know how to use the semi-colon without fear. I am within 20 pounds or so of looking hot (though I’m having trouble getting there without sucking poison…). I know drive-thru combos by heart by number and by meal (like McD’s #3 for breakfast or TBell #1 for dinner). When people have really simple questions about Excel, I’m the girl for the job. Recently, I’ve learned how to cook stuff that actually tastes good (following simple recipes). And I am ridiculously cheap but never actually feel like I’m skimping because I’m frugal like that. I could go on. I won’t. But this was fun!

Hope your move is going well! Not envious, though ;)

Amanda, you are so clever! Here are my answers…

1.) If you could skip any day of the week, which would it be?
    MONDAY, hands down.

2.) What is your favorite book?
Right now, Knuffle Bunny (Mo Willems – my mom-answer); One that’s left a lasting impression over a decade since I read it,for whatever reason: Rush to Nowhere (Howard Lewis Russell)

3.) If you had lived back in the day when people though the Earth was flat, would you have been open to the new idea that Earth is actually round, or stayed with the old idea of flatness?
Stayed with the flat. Because I am. Flat, I mean.

4.) Can you roller skate? No.

5.) Are you right or left handed? Right

6.) What song do you most despise? Right now that Fergie song is annoying me (Clumsy)

7.) What is the most embarrassing CD you own? Got rid of a lot of groaners, but I kept Savage Garden/Affirmation for sentimental reasons.

8.) What one word can you NEVER manage to spell correctly without the assistance of spell check? Supercalifragilisticexpeialidocious

8b.) What was the first cassette tape you ever purchased? (Not CD, cassette.) Must have been the Bay City Rollers.

9.) What issue is currently bothering you the most? So many issues, I’m worry wart. Maybe the fact that I should be kicking up my work up a notch but can’t get past a self-confidence issue.

10.) Why do you visit Shamelessly Sassy? (Read: fishing for compliments to read after carrying massive boxes.) I think you’re hilarious. You make me laugh every time I come over here. You had me at shart.
And your daughter is sooooo cute, I love the pix of her.

11.) What is your greatest accomplishment? Gotta be my two kids; but perhaps the precursor to them, bagging the perfect guy for me; I know, I’m such a sap.

12.) Brag about yourself here. Why are you so awesome? (because you are, for sure. Particularly if you had good answers for (10).) What do you do best? What area are you the go-to person for?

Okay, here we go. I am awesome because .. shit, I’m so bad at this. Well, I’m not exactly what you see is what you get. I think I’m a pretty good friend, although I don’t have a lot of really close ones. I can keep a secret and can give fairly balanced advice. I may seem serious, but I think I’ve got a pretty crazy sense of humour. I’m Ms. Entertainment Tonight (I’m the go-to person for questions about who acted in what and with whom, and how many kids they may have had with which spouse…. stupid crap like that) even though I haven’t been out to see a good movie at a cinema since the birth of my son, nor do I read gossip mags. Celebrity idiot savant?!
And I just signed up for a suicide mission … a 4 hour hip hop aerobic dance marathon to raise money for AIDS next week. At the risk of throwing out a geriatric hip or having a massive coronary. But I gotta do this before I turn 43. All for the sake of keeping some bounce in my flat ass.

1.) If you could skip any day of the week, which would it be?

I have a theory on this: Tuesdays. Tuesdays are a nothing day, Monday is the day after the weekend, Wednesday is hump day, Thursday, weekend is almost here and Friday, one day left till the weekend. Therefore, Tuesdays should be abolished and we should all have a three day weekend.

2.) What is your favorite book?

    Outlander Series from Diana Gabaldon

3.) If you had lived back in the day when people though the Earth was flat, would you have been open to the new idea that Earth is actually round, or stayed with the old idea of flatness?

I would have been open to it once someone showed me proof. Otherwise I would have been a follower, whatever the majority was doing. LOL.

    4.) Can you roller skate?

    Absolutely!

5.) Are you right or left handed?

    Right

6.) What song do you most despise?

    Who let the dogs out!

7.) What is the most embarrassing CD you own?

Joey Lawrence. And yes I still have it somewhere.

8.) What one word can you NEVER manage to spell correctly without the assistance of spell check?

brocolli, wait, I have to go check, is it two c’s and one l or one c and two l’s. ah who cares. just eat it.

8b.) What was the first cassette tape you ever purchased? (Not CD, cassette.)

    Michael Jackson’s Thriller

9.) What issue is currently bothering you the most?

I try not to read the paper, some of the stuff in there is too depressing. sometimes, ignorance is bliss.

10.) Why do you visit Shamelessly Sassy? (Read: fishing for compliments to read after carrying massive boxes.)

Found it by going to vote on the bloggies and decided to check it out. I loved it as soon as I started reading.

11.) What is your greatest accomplishment?

    graduating high school, barely. LOL

12.) Brag about yourself here. Why are you so awesome? (because you are, for sure. Particularly if you had good answers for (10).) What do you do best? What area are you the go-to person for?

I am just awesome, period. LOL. That’s all you need to know. LOL.

Hi Hi, I’m Gina, from Wollongong (Just south of Sydney), Australia. Somehow I stumbled across your blog, and love it!

1.) If you could skip any day of the week, which would it be?
Wednesday. Thursday is Payday, Monday and Tuesday are bearable and Friday is the gateway to the weekend. Wednesday is just stuck in the middle.

2.) What is your favorite book?
Love anything by Di Morrissey. She’s an Aussie author – full of romance, but not trashiness.

3.) If you had lived back in the day when people though the Earth was flat, would you have been open to the new idea that Earth is actually round, or stayed with the old idea of flatness?

    Righty

6.) What song do you most despise?
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair.

Spice Girls – it was until they went on their reunion tour.

8.) What one word can you NEVER manage to spell correctly without the assistance of spell check?
convieniently convienience should be conveniently convenience

8b.) What was the first cassette tape you ever purchased? (Not CD, cassette.)
    Alvin and the Chipmonks.

9.) What issue is currently bothering you the most?
The fact that my house is half way through renovation – I have no kitchen, no laundry – camp kitchen set up in the loungeroom, and a sick boyfriend, who has lost his zest for finishing what he started. I want my kitchen back.

10.) Why do you visit Shamelessly Sassy? (Read: fishing for compliments to read after carrying massive boxes.)

I first came here because I loved the name. But then I saw the photos of your husband in drag – knew that you had a wicked sense of humour, and keep coming back.

Buying 2 properties by the age of 23. Yet to get married or have children.

12.) Brag about yourself here. Why are you so awesome? (because you are, for sure. Particularly if you had good answers for (10).) What do you do best? What area are you the go-to person for?

6.) What song do you most despise?
I respond violently to “Wind Beneath My Wings.” It’s too bad, because I think Bette Midler seems like a really interesting person.

7.) What is the most embarrassing CD you own?
Well, I just got rid of some of those new-age cds with sounds of the rain forest, whales breaching, that type of thing. I used to think they were so cool back in ‘92.

8.) What one word can you NEVER manage to spell correctly without the assistance of spell check?
    Embarrass

8b.) What was the first cassette tape you ever purchased? (Not CD, cassette.)
Have any idea how old I am?! I have no idea! For some reason, Linda Ronstadt comes to mind.

9.) What issue is currently bothering you the most?
Issue? Can somebody get me a tissue? No, seriously, my nose has been running a marathon all March, and I’m sick and tired of it.

10.) Why do you visit Shamelessly Sassy? (Read: fishing for compliments to read after carrying massive boxes.)
    Duh. You’re hilarious!

11.) What is your greatest accomplishment?
Having two great kids that people like. Really, really like.

12.) Brag about yourself here. Why are you so awesome? (because you are, for sure. Particularly if you had good answers for (10).) What do you do best? What area are you the go-to person for?
I can spot misspellings on signs at fifty paces. I’m a pretty good decorator, if you go in for the “crazy aunt who’s traveled the world” kind of look. And don’t bother getting into an argument with me.

1.) If you could skip any day of the week, which would it be?
That differs from week to week and really can only be answered retroactively

2.) What is your favorite book?
Catch 22 or She’s Come Undone

3.) If you had lived back in the day when people though the Earth was flat, would you have been open to the new idea that Earth is actually round, or stayed with the old idea of flatness?
    Totally open to the idea!

    4.) Can you roller skate?
    hell yeah!

5.) Are you right or left handed?
    lefties unite!

6.) What song do you most despise?
That suicidal song with the regae/rapishness to it. When I die and go to hell, that song will be playing on repeat.

7.) What is the most embarrassing CD you own?
It’s a toss up between the first Hanson album and every Spice Girls

8.) What one word can you NEVER manage to spell correctly without the assistance of spell check?
    restraunt!!!

8b.) What was the first cassette tape you ever purchased? (Not CD, cassette.)
Weird Al Yanchavich Off The Deep End

9.) What issue is currently bothering you the most?
I don’t have a particular leaning for Obama or Hillary, they both have their negatives and positives, but seriously, people need to stop treating Hillary like shes on trial for murder or something. The Media treats her like an ass hole and that makes me sad.

10.) Why do you visit Shamelessly Sassy? (Read: fishing for compliments to read after carrying massive boxes.)
Because you’re hillarious, a fantabulous writer and have interesting things to say! I’m new here so I’m just getting to know you, but after I read about 80’s lady,I was sold!

11.) What is your greatest accomplishment?
graduating fsu, I supose. I’m sure I’ll have better ones later on.

12.) Brag about yourself here. Why are you so awesome? (because you are, for sure. Particularly if you had good answers for (10).) What do you do best? What area are you the go-to person for?
I’m awesome because I’m totally weird, but I’m completely comftorable with my weirdness so everyone accepts me for it. I love not being able to fit in the molds that people try to put me in. I’m awesome at baking, and I’m pretty good at making people laugh and I’m not shy at all…so…I’m good at talking to people? People come to me to do their make up, with any movie questions, and for questions about life choices. Which is hillaious to me because I can’t make any life choices for myself. I wish people would think of me as the go-to person to discuss Lost because I’m obsessed with that show but no one I know watches it except for my mom…

3.) If you had lived back in the day when people though the Earth was flat, would you have been open to the new idea that Earth is actually round, or stayed with the old idea of flatness? 8b.) What was the first cassette tape you ever purchased? (Not CD, cassette.) Well, five-finger-discounts don’t count so… maybe like a sir-mix-a-lot tape? lol don’t ask… but I like big butts and I cannot lie lol…

10.) Why do you visit Shamelessly Sassy? (Read: fishing for compliments to read after carrying massive boxes.) Because you’re on my Twitter friends, I checked it out… and here I am. Plus, people used to call me, wait, forget it…

11.) What is your greatest accomplishment? I can’t think of a really good one so I’ll just say graduating college.

I am awesome because I am here at shaemlesslysassy ;-) Okay, okay, ass kissing is NOT one of my best areas… but I’m awesome cause I have a blog http://DatMoney.com :-D But I tend to be a go-to person for money and relationships… bad mix there lol!

1.) If you could skip any day of the week, which would it be?

Wednesday, sure would make for a shorter work week.

2.) What is your favorite book?
I have a lot of favorite books (hmmm), but my most cherished book is an antique fairy tale book that belonged to my mother when she was a child. Beautiful artwork and stories.

3.) If you had lived back in the day when people though the Earth was flat, would you have been open to the new idea that Earth is actually round, or stayed with the old idea of flatness?

What? Women weren’t allowed to think (out loud anyway) back then. Ha!

    4.) Can you roller skate?
Very badly and with lots of road rash.

5.) Are you right or left handed?
    Right

6.) What song do you most despise?
Anything heavy metal and anything on “teenage” radio these days.

7.) What is the most embarrassing CD you own?
I don’t own any that I’m embarassed about.

8.) What one word can you NEVER manage to spell correctly without the assistance of spell check?
    supercalafragilisticexpialadocious

8b.) What was the first cassette tape you ever purchased? hummmmmmm, I think it was probably The Marshall Tucker Band.

Still learning – but to date, my two children (23 and 20)

12.) Brag about yourself here. Why are you so awesome? I’m only awesome to those who depend on me because I follow through on everything I do. I don’t quit, ever which might not be a good thing for myself because I stress out sometimes. What do you do best? See answer to first question. I’m a little OCD when it comes to projects (work, home, whatever). What area are you the go-to person for? Ditto – because I do and I can. I should really learn to say no sometimes though.

Only eleven weeks late, but I thought i would see if you noticed. :)

1.) If you could skip any day of the week, which would it be?
Thursday – seems like all the crap that could go wrong always happens on a Thursday.

2.) What is your favorite book?
    The Stand by Stephen King

3.) If you had lived back in the day when people though the Earth was flat, would you have been open to the new idea that Earth is actually round, or stayed with the old idea of flatness?
I’d like to believe that I was enlightened enough to notice the curvature of the horizon and something about the stars at night and that moon thing, probably would have tipped me off. However, I’m quite the introvert so, I’d probably just go along with the crowd, plus I’m a Libra that doesn’t like conflicts (but apparently likes to ramble on…)

    4.) Can you roller skate?
Yes. Ice skate as well, and even can do the whole in-line thing

5.) Are you right or left handed?
    Right.

6.) What song do you most despise?
At this moment “Apologize” by New Republic, can’t think of anything else at the moment, I’m pretty lame like that.

7.) What is the most embarrassing CD you own?
Probably a NKOTB CD – it was a GIFT! I swear.

8.) What one word can you NEVER manage to spell correctly without the assistance of spell check?
Ironically enough, Cincinatti, or is it Cincinnatti, or maybe… ah, forget it! Go Reds! (you see I have been reading.)

8b.) What was the first cassette tape you ever purchased? (Not CD, cassette.)
Oh God, that was long, long time ago… I think it was either a Rick Springfield cassette or Sammy Hagar (my man-ness insists that it was Sammy Hagar)

9.) What issue is currently bothering you the most?
The fact that I am at work on a Saturday – granted this isn’t exactly work, so shh.

10.) Why do you visit Shamelessly Sassy? (Read: fishing for compliments to read after carrying massive boxes.)
My Google reader suggested you, of course if my wife finds out that the reader always takes me to mom-bloggers, I may lose my internet priveledges (that might be another one for #8, since I misspelled it)

11.) What is your greatest accomplishment?
Actually finding a woman that loves me as much as I do her, and the six kids we have brought into this crazy world.

12.) Brag about yourself here. Why are you so awesome? (because you are, for sure. Particularly if you had good answers for (10).) What do you do best? What area are you the go-to person for?
I know a lot of minutia, annoyingly so. In fact, NOONE will play me at Trivial Pursuit, or any other games of that ilk. I like to write, not nearly as well as you, but I’m working on it. I am a great procrastinator, decent speller, good father, excellent driver, decent soccer coach. I am also pretty good at lurking on people’s blogs, until I get tricked into coming out with questionnaires I just can’t pass up. I have never stolen a pair of panties in my life.

Nice to meet you and consider yourself added to my reader (don’t you feel honored?)
