“Stand By Your Man”…With A Taser.

Today, on a talk radio show that I love, they were discussing the Spitzer scandal. There were several discussions and arguments, and I’m not introducing politics into this website (it wasn’t a political show, either). It’s just not happening.
Anyway, what I do have to say is that there was a listener arguing the whole, “stand by your man” point about Spitzer’s wife appearing with him and holding his hand in the media. She was voting for the stand by your man deal.
An opinion is generally just that, an opinion.
But let me tell you, if my husband stepped out on me, let alone stepped out on me with outrageously expensive hookers, the only place I would be standing is on top of the car that I used to run him over–twice.
Seriously, doing the dirty with any gal besides me, let alone ladies who cost up to $31,000 a day is not excusable. $1000-$5000 an hour for some of these ladies (I’m saying ladies in complete sarcasm, by the way).
Heck, I’m just wondering if this gal’s vagina was made of Platinum with encrusted diamonds?
What’s the deal? That’s a lot of dollar bills to be paying for the deed when he could do it with his wife for free. And if you’ve seen her, she’s a rather attractive woman. Not that it matters, but still. She’s a beautiful lady.
Anyway, I could not hold my husband’s hand after that. Not even for a picture or appearances.
At the end of the day, the decisions of Spitzer’s wife are not mine to make. In fact, they aren’t even any of my business. I just thought it was interesting.

Seriously… the only reason I would be holding my Hubs hand if this were to happen, would be to keep him from running away while I jabbed him with a barbeque fork… repeatedly, hard, in soft squishy parts.

I would NEVER excuse that…EVER. ESPECIALLY if I was in the public eye and everyone knew about it. I am not saying I would forgive my husband for anything of that sort either…I would be divorcing him and suing him for every single little penny and a half. Maybe THAT would save me from the type of embarrassment and hurt that poor mans wife must feel. I just want to b*tch slap him…

Not to defend what the guy did, but it’s possible that his wife doesn’t like the same kind of stuff he does? Perhaps they discussed it, and she’s fine with it? Or perhaps she absolutely detests the entire situation, in which case, what is she doing with him?

That’s funny, my hubby and I were saying the exact thing this morning. Why was she there? Unless she’s pathetic and sees him as her money train and not wanting to change her life in that way then maybe she will look the other way. That guy, what a jerk, why risk it? The only thing I can think of is that his father is worth like $500 million dollars and he’s just a spoiled brat who does what he wants and doesn’t care about the consequences. Okay, I’ll stop.

I totally think the wife is biding her time and has a lawyer on speed dial. She’s about to take that sorry sack of shit for all he’s worth and more power to her. At least I hope so. Otherwise, I feel no symphathy for anyone that dumb!

Who knows what goes on behind close doors.
Perhaps the guy is really bad in bed and she is relieved he tortures someone else with his 30 second performance.
For $500 million, I can’t honestly say what I would put up with. High dollar hookers might pale in comparison.
But with my from-blue-collar-parents husband, ain’t no way I’d put up with it.

I am with you 100%, and I speak from experience. OK, he wasn’t a politician, and I didn’t run over him even once, but I certainly wanted to. I did divorce him, though! And if he’d paid for the nastiness, I’d have taken him for every cent he had. I, too, don’t get it.

What would piss me off the most, would be that he didn’t spend all that money on me! You can get a hooker for $100(or so I’ve been told!) but if you’re cheating, you’d better be giving your wife some outrageously expensive gifts!

This whole Spitzer thing is really crazy. This morning’s Post is a “Special Edition: The Spitzer Resignation”. Ridiculous!
Anyway, I agree with you, only I would use a snowmobile or a tractor instead of a car.

I talked a little about that this week too. It’s mind-boggling. But I think it’s an example of being on this runaway train and no way to get off it.
“Honey, this happened today and now we’re going to go stand before reporters and apologize for it. Let’s go.”
“Ok, dear.”
I just think these women end up not knowing WHAT to do. So they do it. And sort it out later, with divorce papers.

I read a really interesting article about 12 reasons why the woman who wrote the article believes his wife would stand up there with him, and why she would do the same.
They were all extrememly interesting, but the one that got me the most was so that it puts a face to the victim; her. If he’s standing there by himself then we’ve got no one to feel sorry for, no one to make us despise him more for hurting another human being. But with his wife standing there we can’t forget that he hasn’t just slept with a prostitute, but cheated on his wife.

Amen to that, sister! If my hubby did that with any other woman (pretty or not), he would be doing his interview from the hospital after I went all Bobbitt on him. And I wouldn’t be able to stand sweetly by his side, because I would probably be in jail.
