Reminiscing: Photos & Such
- March 2nd, 2008 9:13 pm
Yesterday, I was at my mother’s house, and took some time to scan some photos I was laughing at from when I was younger. I’m posting a bunch below this. Before that though, I’ve recently received some awards from some very fabulous people. They are all over here. Thank you all so much. I’m very grateful that you think of me when you’re giving these out. I get really excited over each and every one of them. And in the future, I will have a give away of sorts where I distribute some awards.
Also, if you haven’t noticed, I have sort of strayed from blog365. I hate that I have, because I really, really dislike quitting/giving up things. And I mean, it makes me itch when I do. I’ve never been a quitter. I won’t stop doing even the smallest of things. But when push comes to shove, I’d rather post quality than quantity. Some days when I had to participate in blog365 and had nothing to post about, I would end up posting what I felt was random crap. Really, I can’t stand to think I’m posting random hoopla just to say I posted something every day of the year. Because to me, posting pure trash in order to accomplish a goal just isn’t very satisfying, and on some days, that’s what I was doing. I like to write, and that’s difficult some days. I’d rather skip that day then post something I didn’t feel was sufficient. However, I wish all of the rest of you participating good luck. I will still be posting nearly every day as long as I don’t feel like the result will be pure crap.
As a result, I’ve been slacking with posts recently. I hope to be more regular (nearly every day) soon enough. (Seriously, did I just say more regular? Like that this had something to do with bowel movements?)
Also, my husband and I recently sold our home, and I’m going to be doing a lot of packing in the upcoming 30 days (more about this later).
Anyway, I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend.
Here are some pics from my youth (you are welcomed to laugh both at and with me):

It was really difficult being that cool. It was basically a 24 hour job.

Do you notice my plastic watch band sticking up in this pic?

Needed: Braces.

Got: Braces and one arm that randomly looks really fat.

The last picture is me sneaking to sit in a chair that once belonged to Louis the 14th of France. No, you aren’t supposed to sit in that chair, and yes, I had to do some running from security guards following that sit.

You are so brave. I would never post photos of me as a teenager. I wasn’t as cute as you though. I agree totally about quantity over quality in posts. I started out trying to post every day but some days I have nothing to say.

Blog365 would be the end of me, I think. I try to post almost every day, but knowing that I “had” to would make it work and not fun.
I love the pictures–I had the exact same hair in high school, only blonde. Ah, the 90s…
Oh–the weekly goal support group starts today, so don’t forget to stop by if you want to join in!
